Factions allows a Noble to claim territory that will be protected from non-members of their Faction. Outsiders will not be able to Build or Destroy in that Factions territory, and PVP damage is reduced by half when being attacked within that Faction Territory.

Members of the same Faction and Allied Factions are unable to damage each other anywhere on the map.

Factions can forge alliances and declare themselves enemies with other Factions and Faction land may be taken from other factions through war.

Factions can be allies, neutral or enemies. Nobles choose this relation to another faction through a chat command.

If both Factions choose to be allies then they will be allies. If one Faction chooses to be an enemy of another Faction - they will be enemies.

You can never hurt members of an allied faction. You can not hurt neutrals in their own territory. You can always hurt enemies and players without faction. Damage from enemies is reduced in your own territory. Visitors to your Faction cannot build and destroy in your territory and will not be able to interact with Doors, Trapdoors, Chests, Furnaces and Dispensers (So make sure to put pressure plates in front of doors for your Non-faction guests.)

Every player has a "Power” score. This Power score can at most be 15 and at least be -10. If you die you lose 2 power. The power will be restored while you are online - 5 minutes per power point. You will also lose 1 power for every 24 hour period you are not online.

The Power of a Faction is the sum of all member power. Each Power Point grants that faction the right to claim one land/chunk. You can also claim land from a faction if it has not enough power to sustain it's current amount of land - for example:

A faction with 2 players might have 30 power - if each member has 15 power. They claim their maximum allotment of 30 land. Then one Faction member dies and loses 2 Power Points - leaving that player with 13 out of 15 Power and the Faction with 28 out of 30 Power. At this time another Faction could take 2 of their land chunks if they have more land than power - leaving them with 28 out of 30 Land. No more land can be taken from this faction as they now have enough Power to sustain their land and retain protection.

Note that if you claim land from another faction you must start at the border of their territory.

Individual Ownership within Factions

The faction Noble can further specify ownership of any land within their Faction to anyone within the faction using the /f owner [player name] command. This ownership will extend the same protections which faction territory provides against those within your own Faction. This is useful for providing private ownership of particular areas, or to provide a storage area for the Faction Noble which is safe against in-faction thieves.

Internal Ownership and Faction Permissions

Whether you would like to give a Faction member a personal lot, or perhaps limit new faction members' access to certain areas, or maybe allow another faction (possibly a sub-faction) to access areas in your faction. Well, the "/f access" command is the way to do these things. By default all faction members can access all claimed chunks, edit the landscape, build, open doors, push buttons, etc. Allies can do many things in your claimed chunks as well.

/f access p/f player/faction - Set access restrictions for an individual chunk.

/f access p Grognard

This allows only the player Grognard to access the plot you stand on.

/f access - Restricts any faction member from having access to a plot.

/f access f - Give or take away all permissions to build on the chunk you're standing on for your factions-members.

/f access view This will tell you about the access permissions for the chunk you're standing in.
