Humans vary wildly in appearance and physical ability, due to their long history and their huge spread across the many lands of the world. In adulthood, they stand roughly between five and six feet tall, with pale pink skin - although in particularly cold or hot regions, this may be notably paler or darker respectively. Humans tend to live between 70 and 90 years, depending on their quality of life, yet some are known to be blessed by the gods or a quirk of their physiology with a longer lifespan.
There are several notable bloodlines of humans in the world today:
- Perhaps the most renowned and influential of all human cultures, the Emeraldites are extraordinary explorers, conquerors and builders who have seen much of the mortal world. They are also famed for being favoured by Planu, the father of the Six, who has blessed them with long life - King Meraldian IV was said to be nearly a hundred and sixty years old, whilst still being able to ride out hunting every few days and seeing to the business of governance.
the Divian clans
- Hailing from the moors of northern Divia, this race is notable for being relatively tall, reaching seven feet at the most, and also for their paler skin compared to other human races. Despite their defiance, this bloodline has long since been deemed extinct, having been wiped out in the Blackblood wars.
the men of the Eastern Kingdom
- ...possessed of black hair and cream skin, they are also known for their striking red eyes. Only a few men of this mysterious land have come out of the east, notably several members of the Beoulve and Heiral families.
- They are a subclassification of humans that are born to "normal" humans at random, through connection with their deity, the Darkness.
